Phir Le Aye Dil

Of all the languages I comprehend, Urdu is the most subtle. Not that I know Urdu. Words in Urdu are the most difficult to transform into any other language, because most of the time an exact translation, something that expresses the many shades and layers of feelings in all its complexity beyond the simple literal meaning, do not even exist. Maybe its because Urdu is a language of poets and so inherits an unmatched sensitivity to human emotions. Understanding it, appreciating it requires some experience in life. The manner of expression is understated yet forceful, and persuasive without being loud. having a certain unassuming, guilty as charged way about it that makes Urdu so adorable.
